Davis Tour de Cluck--Huge Success!

Back in August of 2009, we toured California with our Mad City Chickens film, and one of the places we screened was in Davis. It turned out to be our largest crowd to date with over 350 people in attendance. We made friends with our wonderful hosts, Jake and Ed Clemens, and have kept in contact ever since.

This past week, they held the first annual Tour de Cluck coop tour in Davis where they had over 500 people show up to visit the myriad of chicken houses in town. Our film also got a mention in the local press, The Davis Enterprise.

the Tour de Cluck Community Kick-off at Central Park, The Davis Farmers Market & The U.S. Bicycle Hall of Fame. The  "Courage to Cluck!" exhibition challenged the Davis City Council candidates and encouraged the general public to follow with their best, cluck, bawk, crow or cockle-doodle-do!  Included is Joe Krovoza, candidate, laying an egg with his flock, and there you have it...pure crazy fun.  It was a blast.  Bicycle Valet Parking, the Fowl Food Fair at the Market and the chicken-themed Art Exhibit & Silent Auction fleshed out an amazing day!
