2011 has been a very good year for Tarazod Films. We made the jump to HD this past spring with the purchase of the Canon 7D camera along with the Zacuto Z-finder and the Zoom H4N digital audio recorder.
Then in August, we made the change in editing towers from Mac to PC, building it ourselves. With this came the switch in software from Final Cut Pro to Adobe Premiere. We've been Mac people from the start, so for us, this was a major move in a new direction. Rounding out the equipment purchases, October saw the addition of a new light kit.
Tarazod Films is a very small production company. We know it. We're not going to have huge crews, hundred million dollar budgets, and Lord of the Rings type sets. But as we look to expand the number of film projects we undertake, we also want to grow our in-house equipment arsenal. The more tools at our ready disposal, the more we can do for ourselves. And the better our production value will be in the end. So over the next couple of weeks, we'll be making a wish list for equipment that will help us move to the next level. First on that list is a location monitor.
